I used to be a tinted moisturiser or BB/CC cream gal during one point, because I don't like anything that feels too heavy, or as though it's going to clog up my pores. Wearing too much makeup too often will inevitably ruin your skin at some point, so unless you're 100% sure that a light-medium coverage isn't for you, then I'd give it some thought at least.
Overview/Description:
Rimmel's Match Perfection Foundation is quite literally (hence the name) the perfect package. For a start, I really like the packaging in itself. I think it's quite simplistic, but it has a bright blue lid, which is appealing to the eye, and I personally think the fact that it's slightly slanted is a nice finishing touch. It has SPF 20 in it too, and although that may not be as relevant at the moment, it's always helpful to know that it's there for those Summer months.
The Scent/Texture:
I'm sure you know what I mean when I say that some foundations, and some other makeup products have a weird scent to them. Whether that means they're too perfumed, or whether they just smell cheap and tacky, I can assure you that this one from Rimmel isn't like that. I can't quite describe it, but I'd just say that it's very fresh, and natural, like you would want your base products to be!
As far as the texture goes, I did mention that I don't like heavy duty foundations. This one is incredibly lightweight, and easily blendable, whilst not appearing sticky, or clinging to any dry patches. I wear the shade '101 Classic Ivory', because I'm super pale, and it suits my skin tone really well, which is always a miracle.
Final Thoughts
If you are looking for a new foundation, then this one may just be the one for you. It's £8.29, so slightly pricey for a high-street brand, but a little really does go a long way, and you're guaranteed to find a shade that will match. You could even get the primer, concealer and powder to give you the best base routine. That's probably my next goal, so I'll be sure to do a post on it if it happens!
What's your go-to high-street foundation? Do you think Rimmel is affordable?
Love and light always,
