Sometimes A Girl's Gotta Treat Herself! ft. Appleyard London

Generally speaking, the societal view these days is that the men buy the women flowers and you can't love anyone until you love yourself. Quite frankly, I couldn't disagree with this more if I tried.

Today's post is going to be all about the importance of females treating themselves as often as they want and not let these expectations determine their self-worth.
I've only ever received a proper bunch of flowers once in my life and ironically, they were a gift from a guy that I was sort of seeing/sort of not (now's not the time to go into that one!).

However, buying myself this Citrus Coulis bouquet (created with cerise germini, vibrant wow and tara roses with blue agapanthus complemented by foliage) is symbolic of the change that I have seen in myself in recent months and how I only hope to keep improving and doing things to better myself.
If flowers are the sort of thing that you're into, you can check out the Appleyard Flowers website to treat either yourself (like me!) or a loved one. The different sizing options are the classic 'Bijou', which is that particular bouquet's standard price, the 'Chic' size, which is an additional £5, or the same as mine, the 'Lux', which is an extra £10. Overall, this variation is £44.99 with £5.99 P+P!
You really are your own best friend. Nothing and no-one should ever change that.
Flowers can definitely have a significant impact on your mood, whatever time of year it is. If you are used to putting other people first and you don't often dedicate much time to yourself, it can make the world of difference to just order yourself a little treat.
Everything about the whole process is almost guaranteed to put a smile on your face, from picking out your variation to getting the delivery through your door to presenting them in your home. There's such a wide selection of flowers that you can get yourself, depending on your own personal preference.
If you want to take it to the next level and make it even more special, as this sort of occurrence is quite rare, you could do some research into the different meanings of flowers and pick a present based on that. For example, sunflowers often symbolise happiness, good luck and intelligence and germini's are also linked to happiness and cheerfulness. Appleyard have actually done a blog post about the meaning of different coloured roses, which you may find to be an interesting read. I certainly did!

Receiving a delivery off of this company made my entire week. Everything comes in a beautifully packaged, perfectly secure cardboard box and you even get to pick which day you want your order to be delivered on, which is so helpful and definitely appreciated if you're a busy bee or awaiting someone's birthday! They come wrapped around with printed paper and not only do you get a booklet with step-by-step instructions on how to care for your flowers, but you also get special food for them, which is just a bonus!
I really couldn't recommend this company enough. Both my Mum and I decided that we should display the beautiful bouquet in the living room, so that everyone can see them and appreciate them to make sure they are valued for as long as they last. It's no surprise that a lot of people, bloggers and social media influencers especially, are so keen to make their own purchases!

It's also worth mentioning that some residents in London can receive same day delivery, but in the UK, you can get next day if you make a purchase before or up to 7:30pm.

What do you think about women treating themselves? Will you be making a purchase from Appleyard London?

Lots of love always,
