Two Of My Top Summer Scents

Since I wrote up and published this post about my favourite perfume, I thought that it would be interesting if I shared with you a couple of my favourite fragrances for the Summer months. I'm forever spraying myself at any chance I get (not because I think I smell funny though!), but even though I've referred to these as 'summery' scents for the purpose of the post, I do just wear them whenever I want to, depending on what I fancy that day. They are both affordable in my opinion and easy to get your hands on if you're living in the UK or elsewhere, I believe, so let's quit the small talk and get on with it...

You may be looking at the price and be shocked by the fact that I said this is an affordable option. However, I really do think that it is, because I purchased it around about a year ago and considering I like to spray quite regularly and I have worn it a lot since then, a little goes a long way and I'm only just halfway through the bottle! It is Victoria's Secret after all, so what do you expect? Rated as a mixture between 'sweet' and 'musky' online, this early 2017 release is a more sensual version of the original Love Spell Fragrance from the VS Fantasies line, which I had to link, as I couldn't find this particular one. It contains 'notes of plum' and 'sugared musk' and I think it's one of the most sophisticated yet enchanting body mists that I have ever worn. It can be quite overpowering, but I like that if I'm going out during the evening and I think that it's appropriate for during the day too if that's your kind of style. The bottle even looks classy and girly just sat on your dressing table and I'd have no shame pulling it out of my bag in public, especially if boys are around!

Ted Baker Blush Pink Mini Body Spray - £3.50
If you're looking for an alternative, but equally as lovely fragrance for these Summer days and £15.63 is a little bit out of your price range, this £3.50 beaut of a body spray will leave you feeling like a true princess each time you give yourself a spritz with it. It combines 'the soft floral notes of jasmine and neroli' with 'the bask of patchouli, sandalwood and musk'. I think this feels more refreshing and clean compared to the Victoria's Secret spray, so it all depends on what you like to go for and what kind of occasion it is. It gives me quite young, female vibes and it's one that quite a few of my teenage friends have worn before too, hence why I ended up receiving it as a gift! It's quite light and probably won't give you such a sense that you're going to come across as overpowering. Much like the previous fragrance, a little spritz goes a long way and this small 50ml bottle can last you many months.

So, those are just two of my top Summer scents that I'll definitely be taking with me through until the end of August! I'd be keen to hear if you have tried either of them and whether you now plan on making a purchase since reading this post. Be sure to let me know!

Lots of love always,
