Keep Troublesome Skin At Bay With OY! Skincare*

A couple of months ago, I very kindly got some products sent to me from Green People. They had just released their new Organic Young range, specifically targeted towards teenage skin, and they wanted me to be one of the first people to try it out, so I could let my readers know my thoughts!

There are 5 products in total, including a foaming face wash, a cleansing moisturiser, a purifying serum, a blemish concealer, and a deodorant.

First things first, let's just take a moment to appreciate the packaging. I absolutely love it! Each individual product has a different colour associated with it, which I think is a really nice touch, and it makes everything much more unique, and interesting. As it's an organic brand (hence the name), the packaging is quite simple, but that's something which I'd say I'm attracted too. It looks neat, and clean, which is the message that the creators were probably trying to get across in the first place.

I'm going to start off by talking about the Clear Skin Foaming Face Wash, which comes in a 100ml bottle. It's targeted towards acne-prone, spotty skin, which is especially common within teenagers, and young people, as we often get excess oil on our face, leading to breakouts occurring more frequently, especially if it's around that time of the month. I've used so many different face washes, and cleansers, but never really found one that I genuinely like, or find beneficial. This one in particular has willow bark, which reduces inflammation, and kills off bacteria, and tea tree, which also helps to control bacteria too. The pump makes it really easy to use, and you get a lather that feels super refreshing, and like it does the job. The smell isn't too over-powering, but it definitely makes you feel like you're giving your face a good clean! Just remember that a little really does go a long way.

Next up is the Clear Skin Cleansing Moisturiser, which comes in a 50ml tube. This is a natural moisturiser, which helps to promote a spot-free complexion. I usually find that moisturisers make my face feel really greasy, but this one doesn't at all. It's nice, and light, and has a lovely scent, which makes you feel pampered, but also revitalised. Just like the face wash, it contains willow bark, and tea tree, but it also has prebiotics, which help to balance out the skin. You only need a tiny amount, because it's a very thin texture, but it soaks in after a couple of minutes.

The third product in this range is the Clear Skin Blemish Concealer. Now, I'm going to be honest, I'm not actually a massive fan of this. When I swatched it on my hand, it appears to be quite dark, and it just doesn't really match my skin tone. It says you can use it as a tinted foundation, if you mix it with the moisturiser, so I may try that, but in regards to covering spots with it, I'm not a fan, unfortunately. It does say on the review section that it may be too dark for very pale skin tones, and I think that's what the issue is with me. However, if you take the time to blend it properly, it does have a nice finish, and it doesn't feel tacky, or sticky or anything, so it may well work for some people who are darker than myself! Many people do really like it, and recommend it, so give it a go, and if you don't get on with it, then you can always give it to somebody else!

Although this may come as a surprise, I've never actually used a serum on my skin before, so I was very intrigued when I received the Clear Skin Purifying Serum. This is meant to have with any blemishes, or redness, and irritation. I will be honest, I haven't actually used this on my face yet, but I've tested it out on my hands, and it seems like a good, handy little product! The idea is that you cleanse first, and then apply it sparingly by gently patting it into the skin. It smells absolutely divine, and really luxurious, as it contains black willow bark, tea tree, yucca, and rosehip oil. This only comes in a 30ml tube, but as it's only meant to be used sparingly, it will last you at least a few months.

The last thing that I was sent was the Orange & Vanilla Deodorant. This may be a slightly controversial opinion of mine, but I'm not actually a massive fan of roll on deodorants. However, if you're going to the gym, or you have PE at school, or something like that, they can actually be handy to just chuck in your bag. This one looks cute, and it also smells really nice actually. On the website, it says that it lasts around 2 months, which is quite a while for a deodorant! and you can even use it on a daily basis if you wanted to.

All of the products are free from any gunk, or junk, and they are only made from natural goodness. If you are a cruelty free consumer, or you're looking to make the transition like myself, then you should check out this range, and also Green People as a whole brand.

Thank you to the lovely PR team for sending me these goodies to try out. I really appreciate it, and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing what I think of them all!

Have you ever heard of Green People? Are you going to try anything from the range?

Lots of love always,
