A Lil Update

It's literally been months since I've done a chatty update on my blog, so I thought now was about time that I did one. Quite a lot has changed, and as I like to share things about my life with all of you, I feel like it's only fair that we have a little catch up.

First things first, I've been at my school's Sixth Form for a month already. I'm studying Psychology, and Double Health & Social, which I'm actually really enjoying so far. Don't get me wrong, both subjects are quite a challenge, but that's the good thing about them. I'll probably do separate posts about them in the future, but I feel like it's still too early in the courses at the moment to fully understand how I feel, and what I want out of them in the long-term. I'm also thinking more, and more about University, and where, and what I want to study when that time rolls around in just under 2 years - eek!

Alongside focusing on my education, I've also been applying for jobs recently. I created myself a CV last weekend, and since then, I've been applying to quite a few jobs, some temporary, and some permanent to see if I have any luck with gaining some experience and taking home some extra cash. I've never had a job before, and I've got to that age now (16) where I just want to start working, and earning my own money to build up that independence which I've been lacking these past few years. I do, however, have my work experience placement next week in a residential care home for the elderly, which I'm actually looking forward to. I'll only be assisting with tasks, and talking to the residents, but I feel like it will be very valuable experience, especially for my future career path, so I'll be sure to do a blog post on that too when it's over.

Something else that I'm going to be doing is the Duke of Edinburgh's Award - how exciting! I've already paid my deposit, and given in the consent form, so now I know that I'll be able to get involved, and I couldn't be happier about that. It's only the bronze one, as that's where everybody has to start, but I'm really looking forward to it. I have my first aid training on 5th, and the 12th November, and so that should be beneficial. I think it'll be really good for my personal growth, and development.

I think that's about all I have to say for today! If I think of any other announcements, or news, then I'll let you guys know in another post. I hope you're doing well, and let me know if there's anything that you want to update me on too!

Lots of love always,
