Summer Makeup Staples

Although I probably say this in every beauty post, I genuinely do feel like I go for ages without speaking about my favourite makeup products. I usually always talk about either skincare or body care, so I haven't been able to show you what I've been wearing on my face in months!

Today, I'm just going to list off a few of my Summer makeup staples and talk you through why I love them as much as I do. These are all things that I've been wearing religiously for quite a while now (well, whenever I bother to do my face!) and they're what I swear by. When I properly love a product, I remain faithful to it until I get bored or find a replacement, which means I get good value for money and I then have go to's which I can rely on as well.

The first thing that I'm going to be talking about is the Seventeen Miracle Matte Concealer Stick. Even though I haven't had this as long as some of the other products I'm going to be talking about, I do really like it. Seventeen have a good range of shades, so I was able to pick up the lightest shade, which actually turned out pale enough! What a miracle. It's creamy, and it has a decent amount of coverage, so in my opinion, it does the trick.

Up next is what I use to inject some life and colour back into my face after accentuating the paleness through concealer. As you can tell due to the fact I've hit pan on the blush, the Sleek Face Form Kit is my absolute favourite. Funnily enough, I don't use the highlighter that comes in the kit (don't ask me why), but the blush and bronzer are my everyday classics that I lean on. I never used to be a contour kinda gal, but I've changed my ways recently and now I really do like it and appreciate anything that warms up my skin tone. I'm not that great at it, but practise makes perfect. As for the blush, you can tell how much I love it just by the fact that I've hit pan. It's such a gorgeous colour and it really does just give you a healthy glow. It also has some slight shimmer in it, which is always nice! I think it's an added bonus that the kit is only £9.99!

As for my highlight, I use the Seventeen Shimmer Brick. No word of a lie, I've been using this product every time I wear makeup without fail. I absolutely adore it and I couldn't ever imagine that I'd find highlighter which is better. It makes me look so alive and healthy and it gives the most beautiful, effortless shimmer to the fact (which is it's purpose, after all). It's a complete steal, and if you don't already have it, you NEED it in your life.

Now onto the eyes (insert eyeball emoji here). My eyeshadow combination for as long as I can remember has been MAC's Cranberry Eyeshadow paired with the Seventeen Easy On The Eye Palette in the shade 'Birthday Suit'. I usually use the 2 shades, which are 4 in from the top line and 4 in from the bottom line. So, the one above is quite a shimmery, metallic rose gold sort of shade, then the one below it is a darker, shimmery chestnut shade. They look lovely just blended together all over the lid and then I put Cranberry along my lower lash line to make my eyes pop. As for mascara, I've always used the Maybelline Lash Sensational in Richest Black. However, I'm trying to go cruelty free and neither MAC nor Maybelline are cruelty free, so if any of you have any recommendations of cruelty free mascara's, then please get in touch and let know, as I'm on the lookout! I've just found it a struggle to find anything which replaces this mascara. It's lengthening, thickening, super black and it makes my eyelashes look so fluttery. I'm naturally blessed with quite thick and full ones, but I do like a mascara which makes them that bit better.

Finally, onto the lippies. I have 2 lipsticks that I tend to alternative between - one nude and one a deeper pink. The nude is obviously the infamous MAC 'Velvet Teddy', which I genuinely don't think I could ever part with. It's the perfect nude shade and it's definitely worth the price you have to pay! I love it so much and it definitely makes me feel prettier when I have it on. The other shade I have is Seventeen Mega Matte Lipstick, which is in the shade 'Looking Buff'. Not only do I love that name, as it's super cute, but I just think it's so versatile and it looks gorgeous with this sort of makeup look, whether it's Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter.

That's it for all of my Summer Makeup Staples! I absolutely love and swear by all of these products, but I'm always on the lookout for more, so let me know what you're loving in the comments below.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and you found some new bits to try that won't break the bank!

Lots of love always,
