A Few Days Away: A Photo Diary

From the 16th to the 20th of August, I spent a few days away from home to go and visit my aunt and uncle. As they live about an hours car ride from me, I don't often get to see them for a few months at a time, but luckily, I've been seeing them quite a lot more this year, which I'm really glad about. As they live quite near to Windsor, my aunt decided to take me to the castle, just for a day out. I had been looking forward to it for quite a while, as it's something that has fascinated me for a fairly long time. I've just never had the chance to actually do it! I knew that by the time I woke up, and got there, the queue may have been too long, and too much of a wait to get in, so I tried not to get my hopes up that much (as hard as it was). Thankfully though, the queue wasn't that long at all, which meant that we were in fact able to go inside the castle - wooo!!

We spent a good few hours mooching around, having a tour of all of the different areas, and generally educating ourselves about the history of this incredible building. I wasn't really allowed to photograph anything in the Doll's House, or the State Apartments, but honestly, they were both breath-taking. Windsor Castle is the sort of place that genuinely does just make you speechless, and wonder how people can create such exquisite works of art. I couldn't quite believe my eyes, and I'm sure if you visited there, you wouldn't be able to believe yours either!

The other photos that I have included here are from a walk that I went on to a local village type place with my auntie. I'm sure that most of you have noticed the theme by now, but I really do have a photographers eye. I'm not being biased at all, but if I see anything that I feel tells a story, or anything that gives me that urge to snap a quick shot, then I will immediately do so, no matter where I am, or how many people are watching! Some people may think that it's pointless taking photographs of flowers that you pass, or rivers that you walk by, but I don't think it is at all. Not only can you use the photos that you take for blog posts (just like these, and other lifestyle ones), but you can print them off, pop them in a scrapbook, or a memory box, and you can also put them all over your Instagram feed too. That's what I like to do anyway, hehe!

Anyway, I think that the pictures really do speak for themselves, so I'm going to leave this post here for today. I hope you liked it, and be sure to let me know if you want to see more of the photos that I take in the future!

What are your favourite posts of mine to read?
Lots of love always,
Jade xo
