It's Time For An Update

Hi everyone! It feels like it's been an absolute lifetime since I sat down and updated you all on what's happening with me at the moment. Although I primarily do lifestyle based posts on a weekly basis, I don't ever really talk about the general things that are happening for me and I think that's something I definitely need to work on. Quite a lot has been going on recently that I haven't had the chance to talk about, because although I stick to a blogging schedule and I very rarely miss a post (in fact, I often add extras!), it doesn't mean that I'm not sorting out exciting plans behind the scenes!

I'd just like to start off by talking about all of you who take the time to show me so much love and support. At the end of January, I had only just reached 100 followers on my Bloglovin' page. However, on the 18th June, I somehow managed to reach 300! That is honestly insane! I remember back in the day when I had very few followers and hardly any interaction whatsoever with fellow bloggers or readers of my blog. It really does make me feel very emotional and overwhelmed whenever I think about how many lovely people I have supporting me on this blogging journey. I definitely am going to be doing a giveaway at some point, but as I've recently had mock exams (more about that in a bit!), I've just been trying to focus on school more, so that I can get the best results possible! As soon as I save up some of my pocket money, then you shall be the first to know all of the details - I promise! The whole reason that I've decided to do a giveaway is so I can give back to you. There will be 4 people who will win 4 things each, so hopefully I'll be giving back to quite a few of you, even though this is only my first giveaway! I know I'm unable to speak to every single one of you personally and I'm also unable to send all of you letters and little gifts as a way to say thank you, but believe me when I say I would if I could. I'll definitely do some more giveaways in the future if this gets a positive response, so please don't be disheartened if you don't win! I love all of you just the same and I consider you to be true friends of mine, even if we haven't spoken just yet. Even though none of the giveaways I run will be absolutely mahoosive, I'll be including some of my favourite makeup bits from the high street, some stationary, some jewellery from my favourite brands and some other little miscellaneous goodies! If there's anything you would really like to see and possibly win, then do let me know and I shall do my best for you. I just really want to take the time to thank you all for your incredible support and kindness that all of you have shown me throughout my blogging journey, but particularly throughout this year so far. This blog and all of my beautiful readers mean the absolute world to me and I honestly wouldn't be the person that I am today otherwise. I've been so much happier and more confident over the past year already and I can't even begin to imagine how much more I'm going to grow with my blog over the rest of the year and even in the near future. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Speaking about blogging, I've had so many wonderful opportunities come my way recently. I may have mentioned a few of them on my social media, but I felt it was only right for me to share them on my blog too, just to ensure that all of you are kept in the loop!

There's quite a few announcements that I need to make, so I'm just going to jump straight in and talk to you about them in a little bit more detail..

I'm now blogging for and contributing to the Love From magazine! Isn't this just the most exciting news you have ever heard? It is to me anyway! I found out about them not too long ago and I've therefore been emailing them back and forth for a little while to try and sort out ways that I could get involved. On the 14th June, I got an email from Flo (the creator of the magazine itself) who said that she's happy for me to not only blog for them, but to write for the printed version of the magazine too. I'd been waiting for such positive news like this for weeks and I honestly felt so overwhelmed and emotional when I received the confirmation email! As I'm sure you can all tell, writing is such a huge passion of mine and it always has been ever since I was a little girl. I'll never forget going round the corner shop with either my grandma or granddad to buy some of my favourite sweets and magazines. If I ever go round there when I'm at my grandparents, I just literally stand at the magazine section for ages, because I've always had the idea that I would be interested in journalism or having my own column in a magazine. The fact that my dream has come true and only at the age of 15 is still so unreal to me and I'm forever thankful at the fact that I've been given this opportunity whilst I'm still so young. If you were wondering, I'm going to be posting every so often on their blog whenever I can and then I'm going to be writing for each of their seasonal issues, which come out on the 1st of March, June, September and December! I'll be writing a positivity column and it would mean the world to me if all of you could show your support, as you do with everything else I experience and share.

I've also had a lot more opportunities within blogging in general that aren't to do with the #teenageteam or the Love From magazine. I'm also going to be blogging for another magazine called Echo Daily twice a week, because a fellow blogger, who goes by the name of Emily from Drained Beauty very kindly let me become a part of it, which I'm super excited about! I'm mainly going to be talking about mental health, advice and teenage issues over there, but as always, I'll keep you updated on my social media as and when all of that is happening, considering the fact it's currently only the beginning of the process.

Whilst I'm on the subject, I'm going to be reviewing quite a few brands over the next few months. They are slightly smaller, jewellery brands, but they are ones that I find reliable and genuinely worth the money, because they are affordable as it is. I'm not being paid to mention them or blog about them, but I'm all for helping out smaller business', due to the fact I'm already an ambassador for Coconut Lane, so I feel like it's something that I wish to do and if it helps them to receive more of an influx in customers, then that's perfect!

Another exciting thing is, of course, the brand new project that myself and Lauren announced to our readers last month. We had been working on it for quite a while just by ourselves to get it up and running, then once we uploaded the posts, explaining what our exciting news was (you can read them here and here), we became overwhelmed by such an incredibly supportive response! Within the first day, we had so many comments on both of our blog posts with young, teenage bloggers, just like ourselves, telling us that they would love to be a part of it and that they are so excited to see what the future has to hold! There is now quite a large number of us in a group chat on Twitter, but seeing as we have reached the limit that all of us decided on, we unfortunately won't be adding anybody else to the chat. Having said that though, as of this month, we have now begun our Twitter chats, so don't fear, you won't be missing out on any #teenageteam gossip! They are going to be held every Wednesday and Sunday at 6pm UK time, so make sure you're following us on Twitter to keep updated! We also have social media accounts, so be sure to follow us over on those too. All of the links can be found on our website, which is;, where you can also sign up to our newsletter, join the team, promote your posts or contact us! Myself and Lauren are still doing our collab posts every month, but all of us girls are also going to be doing paired collabs with each other every month, so that's another thing you can look forward to if it sounds like something which would float your boat!

Before I finish this super rambly post, I just wanted to say that I also had mock exams that started the week beginning the 27th, but they are all out of the way now, so I hope that anybody else who had mocks or exams of any sort feels as though they did themselves proud. Just remember that I believe in all of you and I'm cheering you on all of the way.

Anyway, I think it's time for me to call it a day now! Last month was full of personal posts, all about facing your fears, feminism and struggling with self-harm, but I think that July is going to be the month of beauty and more light-hearted posts, as well as a few collabs thrown into the mix for good measure! I hope that's okay with you. I just want to create content that I'm proud of and that will hopefully benefit you in some way.

Thank you so much for reading this super chatty post that probably made no sense whatsoever. I really do appreciate each and every one of you millions and millions!

Lots of love always,

Jade xo
