A Little Q&A

Hi everyone! I've got a little Q&A for you all today. I haven't done one of these in what seems like (and probably is) absolutely ages, so I thought it would be nice if I did one for a change.

I asked on Twitter a while back to see if you had any questions for me and I got a pretty good response, so I'm just going to quite simply answer all of your burning questions!

Who is your biggest blogging inspiration? What blog post are you proudest of? Do your friends & family know about your blog? - @abbeylouisarose

Without sounding biased, as she is in fact one of my close friends, I would definitely have to say that Nicole from Thrifty Vintage Fashion is my biggest blogging inspiration. She mainly writes about her experiences with mental health and she is always sharing various tips and tricks with her readers, whether they are about blogging, photography or something else that is close to her heart. She is always incredibly open and honest and that's something that I typically try to emulate myself, because I genuinely do find it admiring. As I've mentioned a million and one times, I love writing about mental health on my blog and I also try to share my own personal experiences in the hope that it may help some of my readers, so it's lovely to have a friend of mine, who is similar in that respect. Nicole is honestly one of the loveliest girls and I just adore her! She's brave, she's funny, she's caring and she's just one of a kind. Not to mention the fact she's a part of the #teenageteam, which just makes her even more sassy than she already is as an individual.
Having said that though, I do find inspiration from all of my blogging girlies, but just for very different reasons, I guess!

The blog post that I'm most proud of is the one where I spoke about my struggle with self-harm. It was very difficult for me to write and it took an awful lot of courage, but now that I have actually put it up, I'm honestly so glad that I did. The response quite literally blew me away, as everyone was being so kind and support, which really does mean a lot to me - more than you probably realise. If you would like to head on over and read it, then you can do so here, but if that's not your kind of thing, then I completely understand! I guess I'm always proud of more personal posts, because why wouldn't I be? They are the ones that are the most raw, as I'm quite literally pouring my heart out, which isn't easy in the slightest.

My friends and family do know about my blog and even though they aren't always that interested in it, they are supportive and they usually show an interest, which is actually really nice and special to me. Blogging isn't for everyone and older generations don't always understand technology, let alone the whole concept of blogging and YouTube, but even my grandparents are more supportive than I could have ever imagined. That's not really much of a surprise to me though, because they have always encouraged me to do the things that I love and the things that make me happy. I'm just so incredibly grateful that I've never really been judged for having a blog and in fact, people have been much more intrigued and encouraging than I would have thought!

If you could have fish fingers for toes or fingers, which would you choose?! - @thriftyvintagefashion

Ooohh, what a burning question this one is! I'd have to say fish fingers for toes, because I feel like it would be much easier to walk that way, as they could be quite wide and flat and I could imagine it to be like wearing giant flippers on my feet all day! That would be absolutely hilarious!

Do you have any favourite quotes or sayings?! - @making_camera

I'm one of those people that is forever screenshotting and saving quotes or sayings, because they literally some of my favourite things ever! I love a good quote. Some of my favourites are just the classics, such as 'Everything happens for a reason', 'If flowers can teach themselves to bloom after winter passes, so can you', 'Believe you can achieve. Don't let the world deceive' and also, 'She turned her cants into cans and dreams into plans'. Those are some that I find the most inspirational and encouraging, but I'm sure there are tonnes more that I love just as much!

What are some things on your bucket list? - @guilianna13

I'd love to be able to travel the world, particularly to Australia and Italy. I'd love to be able to volunteer and leave my mark on loads of different countries, inspiring as many people as I can along the way. I'd love to be able to bring out my own motivational book based around self-help and self-love. I'd also love to be able to meet all of my blogging girlies and have cute days out with them on a regular basis!

What is one thing you wish to achieve in your life before you die? - @asohblog

In all honesty, I just want to be able to make a difference to the world and have a positive impact on as many people's lives as I possibly can. I want to educate younger generations and make sure that they grow up in a safe, happy, supportive environment. I have huge hopes and dreams for the future, but I know that one day, I'll be able to say that I have got there.

What are you most looking forward to this summer? - @VieAvecChar

I'm most looking forward to spending time with my loved ones in the sunshine and getting out much more often! School really does restrict me on a daily basis, as it means I only really have weekends free and even then I still have work and revision to do, or I want to catch up on blogging, so having a long summer will enable me to spend much more time with the people I love, doing the things that I love, which I can't wait for!

Skirts or jeans? What are your goals for 2016? What is your favourite book and film/series? - @BlogByGreete

Even though I love both skirts and jeans, I would have to say that I do wear jeans more and I feel more comfortable in them on a day to day basis, despite the fact I have to wear a skirt to school. Jeans are just much more versatile and 'me', because I'm quite a curvy girl and I don't really like my legs to be on show all that much! If it's summer though, I will switch it up a bit and wear a skirt every now and then.

My goals for the rest of 2016 would be to improve my blog and photography even further, to make the most of the summer months that I've got off school, to spend more time with people that make me happy, to read more, to work with more brands that I love to be able to create more exciting content and to just be happy and successful in everyway that I can be!

My favourite book that I have read so far is Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell, which I highly recommend and my favourite TV series would have to be either Pretty Little Liars or Gossip Girl, but probably more so Gossip Girl now that I've really gotten into it recently. If any of you have any recommendations for books, Netflix shows or any other films or TV series, then let me know!

What advice do you have for newbies like me? - @blackpapermooon

We all have to start somewhere. It's as simple as that. You're not going to have tonnes of followers straight away, but that's okay! Just don't give up. Keep on persevering and keep on trying your best. You will eventually get the recognition you deserve, but it just takes time, effort and a lot of patience. Post content that you feel genuinely passionate about and then that will shine through, which will help people to get to know you as a person and get a glimpse as to what your personality is like. Write about the things that you would want to read from others. Try to post as regularly as you can and try to interact with other people within the blogging community. Twitter chats are always a really good idea, regardless of whether you're a newbie or not! You will be absolutely fine though and you will soon get the hang of it - I promise. Just be yourself and do you. Nobody can ask for anything more than that.

Hopefully you enjoyed reading my answers to your questions. Thank you to everyone who got involved and even if you didn't get the chance to ask me something this time, I'm sure I'll be doing plenty more q&a's very soon!

Lots of love always,

Jade xo
