I thought I'd do another outfit post today, seeing as it's now getting into the spring weather. Well, if you lived in the UK, you probably wouldn't agree with me at the moment, but we can still hold onto hope that it will only get warmer as the months go by, right? I do hope to put up an outfit post at least once a month, but that all depends on the weather, seeing as I like to take my photo's in the garden and it depends on my motivation to get myself out of comfy clothes. I do actually have another one planned for next month, which is going to be 2 outfits in a sort of mini lookbook, so you can keep your eyes peeled for that if you wish!
For today's outfit, I thought that I would still keep it quite casual, but I tried to add a sort of springtime vibe to it all by wearing a light, oversized denim blouse and a floral necklace. I know they aren't huge statement pieces that scream spring and warm weather, but I felt that they included a little symbolism for me and I really liked the way it came out. Naturally, the staple piece is the blouse, hence the title of the post. I feel like a blouse can really add a lot of character to an outfit. During the winter months, you can layer it up by including jackets, scarves and cardigans, but during these nicer months, where people tend to start venturing outside a little more, you can keep it really simple, yet girlie by stacking jewellery, throwing them over dresses or playsuits and by tying them round your waist if it's a slightly cooler day when you're wearing jeans and a top, but you still want to look kinda edgy. I also think that the pale blue colour is perfect for this time of year and it really stands out in contrast to the darker shades on the bottom half of my outfit.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully there will be more regular outfit posts coming your way very soon!
Lots of love,
Jade x
