Valentine's Day Makeup // Collab

Hi everyone! Today's post is going to be a little bit different in comparison to what I normally do.

It's part of a new project, featuring myself and 7 fellow blogging girlies, and each of us has created a Valentine's Day post, as part of this collaboration. We will doing this every month, or so, based on a different theme each time, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled! I will link each girl's incredible blog, and their Valentine's Day post at the end, so make sure you go follow them, so that you don't miss out in the future!

I've decided to do a post on a makeup look that would be appropriate for Valentine's Day, so I hope you enjoy it.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation / £9.99 - If ever I wear foundation, I always reach for this serum by Bourjois. They also do an actual foundation, which is a bit thicker, and therefore it gives you more coverage, but I don't feel that full coverage is always necessary. This one comes in a variety of different shades, so you're guaranteed to find the perfect match for you, whether you're super pale like me, or if you have a naturally darker skin tone. You can apply a small amount, without it looking too full-on, or you can build it up - whatever suits you! It smells like apricots, which is really refreshing, and lovely on the skin, and I find that it covers any redness, or imperfections extremely well. A little goes a long way too, so it will definitely last you a good few months!

Seventeen Stay Time Concealer / £4.49 - Ever since I bought this concealer, I have quite literally never looked back. I would go as far as to say it's quickly become my favourite, and believe me, that's a huge statement to make, considering everyone and their mum raves about the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer! I either apply this under my eyes to cover up my terribly dark circles, or I also apply it over any spots, or imperfections that I may have, and it works wonderfully for both. For the price, I don't think you can really fault it, as it leaves any of your dull areas looking particularly spruced up!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 'On and On Bronze' / £4.99 - I must say that when I first purchased this product, and starting tryingg it out, I wasn't too sure what the hype was all about. To me, it felt a little bit out of the ordinary to be applying an eyeshadow with a creamy consistency to my lids. However, I'm in love with this product now! I don't use it all that much, because I never really get the chance to wear eyeshadow, as I have school most of the time, but I think that it's gorgeous, particularly for Valentine's Day, and times when you want to look a little more presentable, and dressed up - even if you're not with a romantic lover! I would suggest dipping your ring finger, or middle finger into the pot, and then swiping this product all over your lid to create a beautifully flawless finish. It's honestly such a stunning shade, perfect for any eye colour, whether you apply another eyeshadow over the top or not!

Tanya Burr False Eyelashes / £5.49 - I received these eyelashes as a gift for Christmas from one of my best friends. Having never tried eyelashes before, I had no idea what to expect, but I certainly wasn't disappointed. These eyelashes are natural, whilst still adding length, volume, and perfection! I'm not too sure what they are called, but I'm pretty sure they are the 'Pretty Lady' ones - don't quote me on that though! If you want to add a little extra flutter to your peepers, then do go ahead and buy these beauties! They are only £5.49, so they aren't extortionately priced and they are also perfect for if you're a newbie.

Soap & Glory 'What's Nude' Eyeshadow Quad / £10.00 - As I mentioned earlier, the cream eyeshadow from Maybelline would be perfect either on its own, or with an eyeshadow, or two blended over the top of it. If you're one of those girlies who prefers to add some colour, and definition to your lids, and leave the Maybelline shadow to act as a base, then I would suggest using this quad over the top. You could apply the bottom left shade directly over the top, as its matte, but still very pretty, and wearable, and then you could blend the shimmery aubergine shade through the crease to give the whole look some sparkle, and sass! You could also use the top two shades as a brow bone highlight, or within the inner corner if you wish.

Barry M Showgirl Mascara / £4.99 - I have actually only tested out this product once before, so I can't really give an honest review, but I still really like it from the results that I had seen. It does really lengthen your lashes, and it makes them look fluttery, and more volumised. I would recommend applying the false lashes, and then putting this over the top of them, so you really will have desirable eyes that dazzle all day long.

Sleek Blush by 3 Palette in 'Pink Lemonade' / £9.99 - Within this palette comes 3 blush shades; a shimmery, dusky pink, a creamy peachy pink and a shimmery, rosy pink shade, which actually looks very similar to the 'rose gold' shade that Sleek do. For £10, I don't really think you can go wrong. There a shade for any makeup look, whatever the occasion, and there's one which has a creamy consistency, as well as two which have a shimmery powder consistency. How much more perfect can you get for the price? I would highly suggest opting for the cream shade in the middle for this particular look, which is called 'macaroon', as it just gives you a really natural flush to the cheeks, without being too over-powering.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub / £5.50 - Although you may think that this product is expensive for what it is, I can guarantee you it's worth it! Whether you're single this Valentine's Day or not, I think it's always important to have exfoliated and moisturised your lips to make sure that they are kept in tip-top condition, particularly around this time of year. This lip scrub is like exfoliating heaven in a pot. It's insane! It smells, and tastes absolutely delicious (I'm not sure if you're supposed to eat it exactly, but I do it anyway.. Surely I'm not the only one girls?!), and it really does exfoliate your lips like no other product. This little pot alone has lasted me since forever, and I do actually use it quite religiously. Once your done with applying it to your lips, then all you have to do is either lick it off (yum), or wipe it off with some water, and then prepare to be amazed by the softness of your pout!

MAC Lipstick in 'Ruby Woo' / £15.50 - What Valentine's Day look could possibly be complete without a matte red lippy? I mean, c'mon, I wouldn't really be a blogger if I didn't finish off with this beauty! MAC lipsticks are on the pricey side, but I think that you have to make an exception sometimes in life, right? And, let's be honest, who could resist this shade? Matte lipsticks can be quite drying, hence why I included the bubblegum lip scrub before, but if you make sure you exfoliate, and thoroughly moisturise your lips beforehand, then who knows, you may be getting your Valentines kiss! This product stays on for absolutely ages, it's simply stunning, and it smells incredible too, like all MAC lipsticks - now, is that a bonus or what?

Thank you so much for reading this post, and I hope you have an amazing Valentines Day, whether you're spending it alone, with friends, family, or with a loved one! Just have fun, no matter what!
