The Girl Behind The Blog

I'm aware that I've done quite a few of these 'getting to know me' posts lately, but I have got quite a few followers now (it's a big deal to me!), and so I thought it would be necessary for me to do just one more! It's not even like I like talking about myself (ok, sometimes it's nice to have a little ramble), but I do genuinely just want you lovely bunch to find out more about the girl behind the blog! Which, is obviously me! The first thing you should know before we actually get started is that I'm quite a silly, sarcastic person, even when I don't mean to be.. you will learn that over time, believe me!

The first thing that I would like to start of by saying is that I'm an incredibly passionate person. There is quite a selection of things that I believe are extremely important, and my passion for those particular things is never-ending. If I feel passionately about something, for example blogging, I will put my all into it, and I will never stop putting 100% into every aspect of it. I guess you could say that I don't give up on the things that I believe in, and that hold the most importance to me. Some of the things that I have the most passion for include helping people, blogging, my loved ones/supporters, music, photography, and the beauty/fashion industry. There are, of course, a few others too, like writing, and exploring the world, but I'm just trying to make a point that I am an incredibly passionate person. The interests that I have are the ones that I focus the most on, and I will always do my best to make sure that I put all of them in my priorities.

Even though I'm only 14 (and a half..) years old, I literally have most of my future mapped out in my mind already, and it's something that I constantly go over too. I may sound slightly deluded, or insane to some of you, but I'm going to share my plans none-the-less.
I'm currently in my first year of GCSE's, and I'm doing the standard subjects (Double Science, Maths, English, Citizenship, PE), and then I have chosen my own subjects, which are Health & Social Care, Business Studies, Geography, and Graphic Design. I aim to get my results for my GCSE's at the end of Year 11 (standard ofc), and then I hope to stay on and go to 6th Form. Ideally, I would like to study any out of these subjects - Media Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Business Studies, Biology, Geography, or Health & Social Care. So, maybe that part of my life isn't quite as planned out as I had hoped it was!
And that stuff is all happening within the next few years - time really does fly!
Once I've completed my A-Levels, and hopefully done very well) I plan on going to University. I used to be so unsure about this stage in my life, but now I've realised that it's something I'm 90% sure I want to do. I'd ideally like to study something that will enable me to go down the career path that I have had planned for a while now, and so I would probably have to do a course that relates to Nursing, Psychology, Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis, or Social Work. In all honesty, I just want to help mainly children, and adolescents with mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, anger issues, eating disorders, and others. I have a range of similar options in mind at the moment, which includes being a psychiatrist, psychologist, potential social worker, mental health nurse, occupational therapist, or a child and adolescent psychotherapist.
In an ideal situation, I'd like to be working for CAMHS, which stands for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, and I'd also like to be able to help, and comfort those who are severely ill in hospitals with mental illnesses, as well as doing fundraising work.
Of course, things may change, but those are my rough ideas in terms of career plans.

On the side of that as a bonus, I'd like to be able to do either blogging, YouTube, or both part-time. I'm not saying I'd like to make money out of it, because honestly, I would rather do it as a hobby that I'm passionate about, but to have it as something that I can do during my free time, and to enjoy it too would be an absolute dream, it really would.

Another thing that I feel really passionately about is music. Ever since I was a very little girl, I have always enjoyed singing, dancing, and listening to other people's songs. I used to stand in the living room, whilst my grandma, and granddad sat in their armchairs opposite me, and I'd sing away, either to the music channel in the background, or just some of my favourite songs at the time, even if I didn't know the lyrics. They have always been my biggest supporters, and I love them unconditionally anyway, but I think that fact makes them even more special! I often dream that one day I will be able to write, record, and produce my own music, and then perform it to a live audience at the 02, or something, just so that my grandparents can come and watch me perform my original music. I've gained a lot more confidence surrounding singing within the last few months, and it would mean a lot to me if I could pursue that, and turn it into an achievement.

The previous point also links onto the fact that music personally means a lot to me. I guess I use it as an escape, something that I turn to no matter what my emotion, or state of mind. I find that it calms me down, and it helps me to rationalise my thoughts, and take a break from the real world. The lyrics that people write, and sing can become so meaningful, and they can have such a lasting impact on me, whether in a positive way, or in a negative way. There are so many lyrics that make me smile, and feel grateful to be alive, and there are others that bring out so much raw emotion from deep inside me, but I feel that listening to them helps me to let go of pain, and feel that there are other people out there who understand me. I have been through a lot during my lifetime, and not all of it has been pretty, so I feel that if I could get the opportunity to write, and release a personal, heart-felt song, then I could have the same sort of impact on other people, like certain singers have had on me.

I'm going to finish off this post by saying that there is still a lot about myself, and my personal life that I could talk about, and I would be happy to do so, and share it with some of you. I want to make my story known to many people across the world, and I feel that I would develop more of a connection to you all if I did so, and vice versa. Blogging is my way of connecting to people all over the world on a much more emotional level through words. There are so many dreadful things that occur in this world that people go through, and I want my blog to be a safe, positive place where I can help and leave a lasting positive impact on you through kindness, and positivity. I will also be doing a separate blog post on both meaningful lyrics, and meaningful poems/stories.

If there is anything that you would like me to talk about in another post similarly styled to this one, then please do let me know. I love a good ramble though, so be prepared for some lengthy posts!

Lots of love,

Jade x
