Travel: Carry On Essentials

As most of you are now aware, (if you saw my recent travel post) I'm going to be in Majorca from the 13th of August - 27th of August! I'm not going to be blogging and posting when I'm away, but I will still have content going up, so nothing will have changed for you! I thought that I would share my carry on essentials with you today, as it will hopefully help you if you have an upcoming holiday.
If you are going away anywhere, then I hope you have a super wonderful time and you get a nice tan!

When you are packing your carry-on bag, you have to be careful with what you take, as airports can be incredibly fussy. The reason that I don't take any makeup, toiletries, sprays, food or drink is because when you go through security, it will quite often get taken off you and I don't think that it's worth the complication. If you wish to take makeup, or any toiletries, then you should pop them in a clear, plastic bag so that they don't spill out everywhere and you don't get in trouble. You have to buy food and/or drink after you go through security, or that will add more complications to your experience as well. I think of my carry on bag as my 'easy-access' bag. It's the rucksack that I'm going to be keeping nearest to me in the room, as I can get the things I need the most more easily. I am also going to be putting my phone charger, my teddy bear and my phone in there, but I couldn't fit them into the picture! If you get bored easily, then I would recommend buying cross-word puzzle books, or taking an iPod, or something to distract yourself and pass the time more quickly. I have put my camera and my chargers in there, as I will need these things every day, and it will save me the hassle of rummaging around in my heavy case every two seconds. Once you get to your room, you can keep snacks and drinks in there too, if you wish. Obviously you get your passport and flight information etc., but my mum has to keep all of that together in her bag! Just use a medium-sized backpack/handbag to keep all of your necessities together in one easily accessible space.

What are your top travel essentials? Are you off anywhere nice this summer holiday?
Lots of love,
